For the "overseas" (lol): The culmination of Monday's festivities (called: "chiming six o'clock") is the burning of the winter effigy, "the böög". The Böög, looking like a snowman and stuffed with heeps of firecrackers, stands on a huge woodpile which is lit when the cathedral bells ring out 6 o'clock. The moment when the Böög's head explodes marks the official end of winter. And the faster this happens, the longer and hotter the summer is meant to be. So the 10 minutes and 29 seconds of this year will bring us a good summer (not excellent, but good... oh yeah!)
