How'cha think the German's kept their wealth after WWII?
Most had nothing left to keep after the war. Everything was in flames.
Some others - the very rich elite (as always!) - tried to hide their wealth, so the Amis couldn't steal it. Logicaly they did this in the Swiss banks. Swiss banks still hide a lot of dirty money of all kind.
Why do you ask? Are you interested in some old German Money? Or do you have some dirty money to wash? Maybe we could make business - just give me a call, man! ;)

Fugger was a very very rich tradesman some hundred years ago. Really rich and famous. To do something good, he let poorer people live in an of his houses. Instead of paying a high rent they had to pray for him every day! haha, cool!
This hasn't changed until today This lovely little lady lives in this house for less then a Dollar or so. But she has to pray ;)
