I first heard of them a few years ago. Because I couldn't see this 'phenomen' here in Switzerland I didn't belive and thought it's just another stupid story.
This year I spent pretty much time abroad (manly Germany and England). AND I SAW THEM!!!

Ya they shot down Richard Branson when he wanted to have Virgin go Biodiesel. They made him seem like a retard. The bullshit stories that circulated from the media during and after their first flight killed the venture. The media reported about having the "world will go hungry" if we turn to a bio-fuel is sure crap! They made a fallacious story about "Africa starving because the west was using food for fuel". In fact bio-fuels are made with the cellulose parts of plants, not the fruit or seed.
The truth is also, all airliners can go Bio-Diesel without any major retrofits.
